Lysozyme (Apt 60) (ID# 7822)

DNA
Hen egg white lysozyme and recombinant human lysozyme
Protein
3-Feb nM (reported value)
Binding Buffer: 25 mM trizma base, 192 mM glycine, and 5 mM K2HPO4, pH 8.3.
25°C
NA If the oligo is a known aptamer sequence: For binding studies, perform a refolding protocol to ensure proper function (i.e. binding to antigen or target). Refer to the aptamer reference source for the appropriate refolding parameters and binding conditions. Note: it is unknown whether aptamer functions properly without refolding.
Tran et al. found good specificity against BSA, ovomucoid, and ovotransferrin in capillary electrophoresis assays.
This a truncated version of the 80-mer aptamer developed by Tran et al. It was found to have a comparable binding affinity to the 80-mer version by Zou et al. Further truncations to 50- and 40-nucleotides reduced the binding affinity to ~15 nM.
